Faith No More have been covered and done more cover version than most bands, so we’ve decided to kick off two complementary series of posts: Faith No More Covered and Faith No More Covers. First up in Faith No More Covered is a very recent cover of From Out of Nowhere by Los Angeles group Five Finger Death Punch. The track features on the band’s first UK single The Bleeding which will be released on 6 April. Happy listening. Let us know what you think and suggest some tracks for inclusion in future volumes.

Inspired by Vanmosa I’ve been tracking down the many many covers of Gentle Art of Making Enemies and will post that at the weekend. Some great ideas guys – thanks.
I find most FNM covers disappointing, but there are exceptions. For example, I enjoyed the 21 Lucifers version, thanks Mr. T.
Another good death metal version of the same song is by Aborted :

I would also suggest Randomatik Blast’s remix of Cuckoo for Caca, you can find it on a player on his myspace :

How about 21 Lucifers version of Surprise! you’re dead!

What about Papa Roach covering “The Gentle Art of Making Enemies” ? They did this live at Pukkelpop 2001 and it was the best song Papa Roach played that show.
