There’s no doubt that Faith No More enjoyed their rain-soaked performance headlining the Southside Festival in northern Germany on Sunday night. Billy Tweeted as much last night: “The Southside Festival was great…the crowd was rained on throughout the entire set, but stuck it out and made the show totally worthwhile.”
Austrian broadcaster ORF were full of praise for the FNM peformance in their review. Sample quote: “A beautiful, albeit nostalgic conclusion for three eventful festival days. Because when you finally hear “Surprise, you’re Dead” again live after so many years you realise how old Faith No More and yourself have now become”.
Great photo gallery at laut.de (via Lily).
I saw this show and was lucky enough to be right in the front with the rest of the hundreds of people that were getting rained on and it was well worth the pain and discomfort to see Mike PAtton and the rest do their magic. I was very sad to have seen it end. Great set and awesome energy.
The gentle art of making setlists… I have not seen a setlist for FNM on Southside. But I made a list of songs I knw they played so far (unknown order):
Reunited (first song)
Epic
Caffeine
Easy
