It was with great sadness that we learned that one of the sweetest and most loyal Faith No More fans, Donna Gorslene, has passed away.
Donna was known as artsyfairie08 on her excellent YouTube channel, which we often plundered for rare videos on FNM 2.0, and could also be found on her Patton MySpace page.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to her family, including her four children, and friends.
“When it’s my time to go, at least my other family will be waiting for me on the other side, and then I’ll wait to see my kids and family again, when it’s their time. Death is just another cycle of life.” Donna
RIP Donna, I will miss you. I only knew her through email but she was always a pleasure to talk to and one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. My condolences to her friends and family.
God bless
your friend,
CM
Condolences to her family and friends.. I still watch her videos 🙁
RIP Donna! 🙂 Thankyou for the video’s!
I did not know her at all, but her youtube channel is fantastic. RIP Donna.
R.I.P. Condolences to her family and to all who knew her.
Diane, thank you. My friendship with Donna meant the world to me. The day we met Mike Patton together and got his autograph was one of the happiest days of my life, and I will cherish memories of that day and our friendship forever. I just wish she lived long enough to get the chance to see Faith No More in concert. She would have loved that so much.
I sent her the t shirt from ATP , though that was Fantomas..and I know that she met Mike with you Jennifer, the story of that day made me smile. Good memories. I know that you were one person she felt really was a friend.
She was a wonderful friend and the biggest Faith No More fan ever. Sad to see such a sweet person leave us so soon. She never got a chance to Faith No More in concert. I miss you so much, Donna.

I was lucky enough to be in touch with Donna fairly regularly. She was still having chemo and it made her very tired, but she never complained. She had just been on holiday to the Carolinas with some of her kids, it was the first time that Cheyenne and Zach had seen the sea. Donna herself was orignally from Long Island. She was not in fact the first moderator on MOTO…but she was certainly requested to be when Frank left. She will be missed by many of us, like Angela I had known her for some time now. She died on my birthday, every year I will take the time to remember her. Her love of Mike Patton ensured that she had many friends worldwide, she was always happy to share her fantastic collection of Patton videos. She was a nice person, and if you took the time to get to know her, an exceptional one. I will miss her great smile and her sense of humour.
RIP – I too was a subscriber and only knew artsyfairie in the virtual world – condolences to her family in the real one.
R.I.P. As a huge FNM.Patton fan I spent countless hours watching her You-Tube channel and was also a subscriber. I always wondered why we never saw any action from her on this site, sadly I got my answer.
I remember watching videos on her Youtube channel, as Integra wrote she was really queen of FNM youtube clips. I’m truly sorry.
R.I.P. Donna. I didn’t know her personally, but I’ve been a fan of her YouTube Channel for quite some time now. It is sad news and my condolences go out to her loved ones.
Also big props to whomever suggested to Ipecac to give her a tribute – that was very nice of them.
Sad news. I still watch the videos she posted on youtube on pretty much a daily basis. R.I.P Donna.
I learned a little more about her since last night, and she seemed like a very lovely, kind person.
I’ve never met or corresponded with her, but I can identify with her as another Patton/FNM fanatic; and I can identify with her children as the daughter of someone who is battling cancer. My heart goes out to them and I wish them strength.
Never met Donna but very sorry to hear about this..Very nice that FNM 2.0 posted this for a huge FNM fan and for others to remember her.
R.I.P. Donna.
Holy shit. I remember seeing her Youtube channel back when I first started listening to FNM, and watching through all of the videos I could. This is awful news. I have nothing else to offer but condolences to those who knew her. I am truly sorry. 🙁
Thanks Angela for your comment and deepest sympathy for your loss.
Donna was a very kind, beautiful person. She was always there to make me smile when I was feeling down. She was my friend for over 3 years. I will always remember her.

Ah this is sad news indeed. Donna often replied to my youtube comments and she truly is the queen of FNM youtube clips, no one had a better collection. I give thanks to the many hours of enjoyment she has provided with her collection and offer my heartfelt sympathies to her family and friends. Thank you.
“Toutes mes sympathies” for her family and friends.
R.I.P Donna
Very sad news…although I did not know her…..she is part of our extended family here. Deepest sympathy to her family and friends…..
I am very pleased that Adrian has written this tribute to Donna. I worked out yesterday that I had first been in touch with Donna towards the end of 2007 through MySpace and later Facebook and loved her YouTube channel. She seemed to get lots of rare footage of Patton and shared some great videos that I never saw anywhere else. Some of you will remember that she was the original moderator of the Mouth of the Ocean fan forum (www.mouthoftheocean.com). She quit as moderator on there because she got sick, but was still very much active amongst us Mike Patton lovers and I stayed in touch with her online as a lot of people I have met through Mike Patton and his music did. I will always remember sharing our Mike Patton stories and her sweet e mails.
I was stunned when I heard this sad news, because I presumed she had made a fill recovery from the cancer, but you can never be sure of anything. From now onwards, I will be thinking of Donna every time I see Mike performing, as she was a long-term fan and probably one of the most dedicated I’ve ever known of.
It’s a really sad news!! I barely knew Donna and talked few times with her but we have sevral friends in common and they always told me that she was really adorable. She will be missed ='(
Very sad news indeed.
I’m subscribed to her Youtube channel. She has by far the best collection of FNM and Patton related videos out there. I’m sorry to hear of her passing.
