Faith No More will play the final show of their reunion tour in Santiago, Chile on 5 December.
More details have emerged with both Bill and Roddy doing interviews in the Chilean media, while Puffy is slated to give an interview on Chilean radio station Sonar FM on Sunday at 17:00 local time.
Bill tells La Tercera: “Yes, this is definitely the last show of the tour and we’ll visit the one country in South America. It will be very cool, very big. It’s our best finish, with nothing negative, no fights and cancellations. Then everyone will continue with their projects.”
Bill also speaks of his plans for a party in Chile, that the concert will be the greatest of their lives and that they will record a DVD or CD.
Bill also speaks in the last paragraph about his thoughts on the pros and cons of a new album. Here is the original Spanish quote, if anyone want to offer a proper translation that would be much appreciated because I don’t understand my Google-translate comprehension on such a delicate matter: “Nunca pensamos en hacer un nuevo álbum, porque originalmente sólo queríamos tocar. Pero en mi opinión, grabar un álbum era una gran idea”, relata. Luego acota: “En este reencuentro, siempre la relación entre todos fue muy buena, porque nos conocemos bien. Pero tenemos a momentos una relación bastante complicada, aunque diría que, como trabajamos juntos, todo termina pasándose y resulta algo positivo. Es muy extraño volver tras una década”.
Roddy is more emphatic about the future of the band after the show in his interview with Terra: “Terra: After this show are there any plans to do anything in the future? Roddy: No.” He reveals that an Imperial Teen album is imminent and that he will work on music for television and films. In a similar vein, the Tercera article reveals that Bill wil continue with Kool Arrow as well making music for a Macedonian animated film.
Meanwhile, tickets for the show on sale on 12 October from Punto Ticket.
Thanks to 3d-alex and Praxia for alerting me to the interviews and apologies if anything gets lost in translation.
The rumour about Sharon having sacked Mike Bordin is not true. Ozzy mentioned it in an interview, because that question was raised along with the also apparent sacking of Zakk Wylde, but that was also bullshit. Ozzy said that both had to put their commitments to Ozzy’s touring band aside while they were concentrating on their other bands. Zakk said in an interview in “Kerrang!” that he was not fired, he left to work with his other projects.
I read it on Puffy’s Wiki page, but it looks like it’s removed now (Google “Puffy sacked e-mail Sharon” and you can still see it).
Anyway it says according to sources, and I don’t know if it’s true or not.
First time Ive heard about that ($haron Osbourne strikes again!)
Is that true? How do you know this?
Wasn’t Puffy fired from Ozzy? By e-mail from Sharon?
Just asking for one more gig in Europe.
BAY AREA BOYS FOREVER! The people who have mentioned that Faith No More ought to end their tour in San Francisco are right, I agree with that through and through (after a show in London again, I wish!).
I have seen them 2 times during the reunion tour and I would love to go to chile to see the last show.
Theres no way in hell Puff quit that easy, lucrative, and cozy job as Ozzy’s drummer just to play only a few more handfuls of shows with FNM. Youde be a fool to think that honestly. And yes, Im thinking both Bill’s and Roddy’s tweets were carefully worded to point out its the last of the tour.
Collectively speaking and just going by what Ive read in interviews and have seen with my own eyes at the show in Philly, these dudes REALLY look like they are enjoying themselves immensely. I think at first the guys wouldnt have thought in a million years about recording a new album, but after seeing the overwhelmingly positive response from both us fans and critics, I think they may have changed their minds a bit. Why do you think they slowly posted tour dates? Basically, to see how the reaction was, and obviously it was good. I know in my heart…this band is not done. We just gotta be positive!
Now to Bill and Roddy…stop giving interviews in Chile and give us the answers to the questions we submitted to you guys well over two months ago! This waiting bullshit has me in agony!
And Admin..yeah I know you were sworn to secrecy about something but please level with us and give us some sort of closure about the Q&A. Who cares alot about the other sites involved? Yours is the cream of the crop!
The petition worked? Who knows…. LOL
FNM belong in SF and that is where they should play their “Final Show”…they did give us 3 nights straight…but that aint enough.. We can only hope that they give the us what we deserve…they may think they are not as welcomed here as they are overseas…but they are wrong..
the BAY AREA LOVES FAITH NO MORE!!!
Billy and Roddy just tweeted FNM will be playing in LA on November 30th at theHollywood Palladium! Ticket pre-sale is Wednesday morning at 10 (pacific time, I assume.)
I also find it interesting that Puffy quit Ozzy’s band to focus on FNM….that makes me think something is brewing. Again not getting my hopes up though…
I guess I better let y’all know about this (NOT MINE!!!)

It would be nice if they could throw the US a few more shows, but it’s completely understandable why they would end this tour in Chile.
Lusty – We can all dream that it’s not the end, so to speak, but only the end for now…
I wrote this several months ago regarding a new album but I think it’s worth mentioning again. For me, the biggest factor would be the quality of songs they were able to record. They can sort out schedules and money but if the music they write doesn’t match their high standard or add to the legacy of the bands work, then it won’t happen.
North American fans should try to sign and re-post this everywhere in hopes of possibly getting them to play again. AT LEAST ONE MORE SHOW AT HOME, SAN FRANSICO CALIFORNIA! Band together and we can do it!

i predict this is where they break out a new song. You don’t think Puffy quit Ozzys’ band for nothing do you?
FNM mates, a couple of things worth doing in Chile for those who can make it on 12/5, from a FNM Chilean fellow (do yourself a favor and just go to as many of these places as you can :), you’ll not regret):
In Santiago:
1. Try our sandwiches, ($10-$20 for full meal including drinks)
1.1. Domino: our best version of hotdogs, very different to what you are used to. Ask for ‘Domino pan caliente mayo arriba’. http://www.domino.cl
1.2. Fuente alemana (Pedro de Valdivia street): try either ‘rumano italiano aji verde’ or ‘churrasco italiano aji verde’. Don’t ask for ketchup.
1.3. Fuente Suiza (Irarrazaval street): try ‘chacarero’ or ‘churrasco italiano aji verde’.
1.4. HBH (Irarrazaval street): ask for a ‘crudo’ and their beer.
2. Los buenos Muchachos (Cumming ave.): Try a chilean barbecue. Ask for ‘Parrillada especial’ for 2-3 persons. The place is also good for some old-fashioned party/dancing (far away from disco style)
3. El huaso Enrique (Maipu street). For a very traditional night our, seeing how people dance ‘cueca’, our national traditional dance. Take a cab/car to go there.
4. Liguria (manuel montt w. providencia av). Try anything in the menu you feel like, one of the most popular and greatest places to go and try some traditional chilean cuisine.
Near Santiago: Take a bus/car to Valparaiso, 2 hrs. away from Santiago, it’s probably the greatest place to go, if you can’t make it to the south. Great nighlife, try ‘Cinzano’ (old-style tango place) and chorrilanas in ‘Jota cruz’. Try sea-food in Con Con restaurant ‘La perla del pacifico’ (1 hr away from Valparaiso), ask for ’empanadas de marisco’ (best ones in the area), ‘ostiones al pil pil’, and ‘locos’
The real thing: Go to Patagonia in the south, torres del paine, certainly a unique place, by very far the best of our country.
Enjoy Chile!!!
What are the chances that this show will be streamed live on the net? Anyone???…..That would be amazing for those of us that simply cannot go due to cash or work constraints!!!!
A nice way to close this chapter indeed.
I’m seriously considering flying there from Europe to attend this final gig. If any other people from this board are planning the same crazy idea, it could be nice to meet there.
Anyway, thanks again Admin. It has been and still is a wonderful ride.
What a great adventure this has been! Got to see them at least once which is better than nothing in my honest opinion. Of course we all wish for them to go on but you know what? Maybe it’s time to close out this chapter of the book. Who knows, more might come later on.
If anyone has a “NYC exclusive t shirt for sale size XL” can they please let me know. They have run out of all sizes except small on the fnm site. Really want one of these shirts badly. Admin, have you heard if they are doing anymore posters for the remaining show or shows…? I know I am becoming extremely redundant (haha) but this interview…….is it kinda over with…..to be honest…I was only excited about that interview for the prospect of a new album…now that that looks to be all but answered directly….oh well….
Gracias
Thanks
ok so if this is their final show for the tour or forever lets hope they give that tired, old, overused, boring, predictable, boring, overused, old SET LIST an overhaul it so badly needs.
come on guys, you have SO MANY great songs. please don’t bore us anymore with the ones we’ve heard a billion times already.

Well, we all knew the tour was coming to an end, and that’s fine with me.
The toured the whole world, giving the opportunity to fans to see them live again after 10 years… a thing I tought would have never happened.
No new album? That’s fine for me.
New album? That would be great.
Live album and DVD, the right thing to do.
Anyway, I’m just happy that the band, reuniting after all these years, gave a closure to their experience of “life as a band”… it saddened me to know that they split after heavy incomprehension, now I’m happy to know that the band mates are cool with each other.
That’s everything a real fan could wish for.
Anyway, this is one of the best blogs man, superb work!!!
Here is my translation of all the quotes given by Billy to La Tercera, the article in fact says a lot about the future. Enjoy mates!
(original article here: http://diario.latercera.com/2010/09/11/01/contenido/cultura-entretencion/30-38316-9-faith-no-more-cerrara-su-gira-de-despedida-en-chile-sera-el-mayor-show-de.shtml)
“When we decided to reunite the band, we said ‘we are going to tour for a year and that’s it”
“Yes, it’s definitely the last show of the tour, and the only country we’ll visit in South America . It will be very cool, very big. It will be our best end, without negative things, without fights and cancellations. Afterward, each one will continue with their projects”
“(asked about ‘why Chile?’) There are several reasons. The last time we went there the reception from great, a lot of people came to us and I even heard that there were campaigns from fans collecting signatures for us to play there again. That happened in very few places. The experience was absolute, as our shows are not only music, but also the full experience and the audience has lot to do. Thus we started thinking about going back to Chile”
“(about their performance in Viña 91) by far one of our weirdest experiences”
“(about the ’95 concert in Chile) by far one of our best performances”
“(about his stay in Chile for some months, where among other things he saw the Chilean band ‘Panico’ -N.R. check this band out wei!) Then I became a fan of the country, because I lived there for some months. It was the time in which we were editing KFAD, everything was very exciting”
“(about the 12/5/2010 concert) I’m going to have a party in my room. It’s likely that we’ll record a CD or DVD of this show, because we consider it really big. It might be the greatest concert of our lives”
“(about Primus) we played with them at the beginning, and we didn’t see them since then. It will be cool to see them again in such a weird place”
“(about playing ‘Ben’) it was a very funny moment, but very serious”
“(this one I took from 3d-alex) We never thought about making a new album, because all we wanted to do is to play. But in my opinion, recording an album was a great idea. In this reunion, the relation with each other was very good, because we know each other very well. But sometimes our relationship is very complicated, although I’d say, as we work together, everything passes and it turns into something positive. It’s really strange to be back after a decade”
“(about FNM in the future) I don’t know if we’ll be back. We’d to reach a new agreement”
“(about the second coming) Considering the worse that could have happened -which I was worried about- and the best that could have happened, the result was even better than what I was expecting. I felt I played in a great band”
@Sophie
That’s kind of selfish…they SHOULD be playing places that they haven’t played yet.
And by your logic, they should END the tour in San Francisco! WHERE THE BAND BEGAN!
What bugs the shit out of me is that they did 10 US dates. TEN!! and over 90 dates Europe and elsewhere. Traditionally bands sometimes tour Europe to warm up for US tours…but to call it done is truly disappointing. They broke up when I was 15, so needless to say I didn’t ‘get it’ until im well into my late 20s, to think I will never get to see my favorite band, and they’re all still alive gives me knots in my stomach.
¿will they perform only one show in south america or a tour?
we need FNM in Argentina!!!!!
Billy tweeted that there might be “a show or two before that”. Yeah, they ought to do one in fucking LONDON England. That is where they should have finished the whole tour, where it started in the first place!
DO we really think that the guys are so careful in their wording about what they might do in the future? They’re musicians, not lawyers, so I think too much is being read between the lines. They probably have no idea right now and even if they were emphatic that the answer was a no, we’ve all heard that before and look how it turned out. I just hope if they do record something before we’re all too old to care.
I, for one, do not want to think of it as “over” because my girlfriend, as well as a few of my friends, are pretty fucking crushed that they never got to see them. And it makes me feel awful.
I’ve been doing the same, Lusty. When I first read their tweets, I kept thinking “final show of the reunion tour, not final show ever!” Maybe it’s just wishful thinking, but it’s just too sad to think of it completely being the end right now.
You know… I hate to play devil’s advocate here because the last thing we all need is speculation (though it is fun, as Ti Mort says). But if I were to do that, I would say look at the careful wording they’ve used:
“Our Final Show of FNM Reunited 2.0….”
“we’re wrapping up the FNM reunited tour”
“Yes, this is definitely the last show of the tour”
It’s all about the “reunion” tour. That’s not to say there couldn’t be more, different tours – say after a new album? Maybe there are no plans, as Roddy says, but in THAT concept.
I know, totally reaching and I do believe it’s “the end”…. but just throwing it out there, hahaha. 🙂
I don’t get it….it’s not like any of these guys are rolling in the dough……a NEW ALBUM and subsequent Tour would be massive for them…..I know they aren’t sellouts but come on…..this can only be seen as a win – win situation for them….unless they produced a piece of shit…..doesn’t seem possibly…so therefore what the hell? Sad if this is the end…it’s so much fun….hate to hear it sound so final……….
Thanks Alex… that sure is a round about way of saying no (or yes) to a new album lol
