Yes the Talking Book show was magical indeed, I think almost better then the one at Great American in May. Similar set list but way deeper really nice trance-like quality at times. Reminded me of early Tangerine Dream or similar German stuff mixed with shoegazey drone and old records blended together. They also did a deconstructed version “why do you bother” !!!
A lot of people left b/c it was late 11.30 on a Sunday night! But those of us who stuck around got our $ worth. This is a real cool project and Bill said something about a possible tour next spring or summer in EU. Lucky you guys…
^ Finally!

WOW!! The Tango Saloon (an Ipecac band) were on ‘Spicks and Specks’ tonight (an Aussie music quiz show named after a Bee Gees song). They performed the most amazing short version of FNM’s Epic you will ever hear.

and go to the 13:05 mark for the bit. They also close the show with a wonderful rendition of the show’s theme song.
By All accounts it sounds like The Talking Book show was pretty entertaining. Roddy tweeted that he was there are thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s also encouraging that they now all seem to be supporting each others other projects.
