Sin é as we say back home. The short but action-packed South American tour came to an end last night with another great show at the SWU Music and Arts Festival 2011 in Paulínia.

R7: ” But the big surprise was a new song, still unnamed, which is being played on tour in South America The band does not comment on anything, but it seems that the FNM may be preparing a new CD.”
Último Segundo: “In his fifth trip to Brazil with Faith No More, the singer proved that the affection is not in vain. In Portuguese he gave many good words and sang “Evidence”, thanked the audience and even went on a walk into the middle of the audience. Between kisses, handshakes and a cooling bath, he returned intact to the stage.”
G1 Globo: ”
Awesome concert, though a little shorter than expected. Band was supposed to play until 3:15am, but left the stage at 3:00. The whole audience was waiting for them to return ( the fans waiting for “We Care A Lot” ), but then there were fireworks and the stage screens announcing that the festival was over. As someone already posted, Roddy and Jon had a few tech problems ( Roddy, mostly ), but Mike P make up for it by being totally insane, even taking up a camera car and making images of the audience ( which went completely mad ), then falling up from the car and heading towards the audience to sing with them. “King For A Day” had the now-permanent-in-Brazil’s-concerts chorus of “Porra Caralho” ( something like “Fuck Shit” ). The choir on “Just A Man” was beautiful. After a day of rain, a site loaded with mud and concerts kinda lame ( except for Primus and Phil Anselmo’s Down ), the band kinda saved the whole SWU festival.
Hmm, their set list has become very predictable. Sadly they play only two songs (great songs by the way) from Angel Dust, three-four songs from The Real Thing (epic always, they could replace it), and the rest are KFAD & AOTY songs, along with covers and the mystery song. I really wish they could take out “Epic”& “Easy”; If the Beastie Boys had the balls to stop playing their most famous hit after only a year back in ’87, why can’t Mike do it? Oh well. I f__king love “Cuckoo For Caca”, but the songs from KFAD are always the main spotlight.
@Lewis M. Thanks!
Just came back from Paulinia, great show, even with some tech problems with Roddys keyboard through out almost half of the show, end then with Jons Guitar on the “mystery song”, that’s why the intro was so long. Still no Idea who that guy was, just that hies from Recife, and total wakooo..hhahaha..
Sorry but I have to post Firsa`s setlist here in case anyone missed it. I thought it was pretty funny and a little more detailed.
