Faith No More have added a cover of the Shuggie Otis/ Brothers Johnson’s 1970s soul classic Strawberry Letter 23 to their current setlist.
According to setlist.fm. this is the 40th cover that the band have played live. The band first played it as one of their many snippets during Midlife Crisis but at Download and Glasgow it has been added to the set as a song in its own right.

The song memeorably appeared on the Jackie Brown OST making it two songs from that soundtrack that Mike Patton has covered after his take on Across 110th Street.
Fan gets the straight jacket at FNM concert, I can see the head line now. Silly Ben. Yet crazier things have happened at a FNM concert…
Soul album from FNM would be divine !!! “Reunited” was so great.
Awesome moment there with the injured guy…or was he being straight-jacketed??? Either way, Mike got a good smile out of him.
So if Bro Johnson is a stand alone cover now….what’s happening during the break in Midlife Crisis the last 2 nights???
