Crab Song and Chinese Arithmetic in the same set? Lucky bastards.
I was there and it was fantastic! As expected, the band is in great shape live.
I’m grateful they skipped Be Aggressive and added From Out of Nowhere in the end. I’m not that enthusiastic about the Mosley era, but it was refreshing to witness a live rendition of The Crab Song.
As I suspected, it is clear to me that the best overall crowd-pleaser of Sol Invictus is Superhero. It was the only new song that saw the same energy coming from the audience. Motherfucker is a no-brainer as an opener, but from where I was standing SSU and SA got pretty warm responsesm, I was pretty much the only one screaming along. I’d have loved to hear Rise of the Fall and Black Friday, which are just so much better songs than those two (basically the tracks I like the least in the new album, but hey it was here and it was live and it still rocked dammit).
OFF > I’m bummed there was no post dedicated to the Rock in Rio show here in the blog? is it because of Patton’s miscalculated jump? c’moooon
Great show! The Crab Song was a very special and well deserved treat for the São Paulo audience.
wow, Crab Song is rare.
