Still no video or reviews coming in from Leeds – was anyone there? – but here’s a round-up of some other FNM news.
- Positive review of Faith No More at Rock en Seine from France 24.
- Photo galleries here and here.
- The Sun gave FNM the only 10/10 review in their Reading round-up. (No link as I’ve some issues with The Sun but you can find it prettily easy if you want to).
- Meanwhile from the Guardian another glowing Reading review. Sample quote: “Yet despite the younger contingent fleeing for Kings of Leon on the main stage, Mike Patton’s band delivered a brutal set that began with a melodica workout (Midnight Cowboy) before flitting between heavy assaults like Be Aggressive and more experimental leanings.”
- FNM play their final European date tomorrow night in Tel-Aviv Israel. Here is a Jerusalem Post article on the revival of live music in the country which mentions Faith No More.
- Via clauspupp on Twitter, Mike Patton will not be featuring on the long-awaited Os Mutantes album after all. Story here. And here is some belated video of when Mike P met the band last year.
What’s wrong with the U.S?? I’ve been wanting to see you guys, FNM for years now, I love you Mike Patton! No matter what you do..

Cheers Dave
Thanks for review and setlist
I was at the Leeds show. It was due to start at 9.45 but was delayed by about 5-10mins due to rain water leaking onto the drum kit. The show was excellent although there was roadies running around throughout trying to sort Puffy’s drums which appeared to be having major issues. At one point Patton hit them with his mic which seemed to anger Puffy, who was first to walk off stage at the end. Patton on a whole was in very good spirits however and had a good laugh with the crowd. During the set closer ‘Just a Man’, Patton jumped off stage and began to push the security guards and shake the hands of people in the front row. Due to the problems at the beginning the band wern’t able to perform an encore (Billy came on stage and said they had ran over their curfew) which received many boos. Overall however, the crowd lapped it up and loved it. Also, they didn’t have the red curtain but they did have their suits. Great performance (a friend who had previously seen the band at Brixton and Download thought it was their best yet) and a great show marred slighly by a lack of an encore.
