Apologies for the late post but I very much enjoyed the hospitality at the Fulham v Shakhtar UEFA Europa League match in London last night and the hospitality after that and again after that. Anyway, here’s the update on last night’s gig in Auckland, where Faith No More performed Don’t Dream it’s Over twice. I do like Crowded House so it was a delight to see these.

Reviews:
The New Zealand Herald review takes issue with the short set. Sample quote: “And there were a clutch of songs mid way through that are testament to Faith No More’s longevity and standing. It’s hard to top the mangled metal serenade of Ashes to Ashes and the lovely Midlife Crisis; then there’s maniacal late 80s track Surprise! You’re Dead!; and, from the same period, rap’n’roll classic Epic.”
The Stuff.no.nz review isn’t loading for me at the minute but here’s the link.
Set list:
Reunited
From Out of Nowhere
Land of Sunshine
Caffeine
Evidence
The Gentle Art of Making Enemies
Chinese Arithmetic/Poker Face
Last Cup of Sorrow

Ashes to Ashes
Midlife Crisis
Surprise! You’re Dead!

The Crowded House cover is really great !!!
I re-discovered that old 80’s song !! It’s really great !! Such a shame the set was shorter than Christchurch !!! I guess I’ll try to see where I could find a mp3 of this song 😉

I’m moving my birthday to April 14th!
Seems that the moderation filter automatically rejects comments with too many links.
Got to get that shirt!
I tried again to post with less links, but now it says the comment is being moderated. Which means this comment might be moderated. Which means this post may be redundant lol.
Am I getting banned from this blog for over commenting? 😉
If you want to see pics and the above comment doesn’t go through, you can email me. Click on my name which should send you to my blog. My email address is on the right-hand side on my blog.
Cheers,
Lusty
The NZ/Aus exclusive “Happy Birthday Fucker” Tour T-Shirt…. looks like if we want one here in the U.S., we’ll have to know someone, or look on eBay, etc…. It’s an awesome shirt!

Lusty!!!!!!!!!! I MUST SEE THIS T SHIRT!!!! YOUR KILLING ME!!!!…….but…..no pressure.
Oh, no.
IM? MSN? Email? 🙂
I have pics but this blog isn’t letting me post the links to them for some reason. Hmmm.
Yeah, Lusty. We’d love to see the shirt! Not for sale on their website. Bummer.
Thanks for the posts. Have been reading your blogs. They’re awesome.
Awesome, these videos are getting me so excited for SF! I’m want to hear Jizzlobber sooooooooooo bad!!! But, that might be hoping for a little too much :/
By the way, the first Auckland review I read was a real let-down. Not because of the band’s performance but because of the bad journalism. The Christchurch review painted a more believeable picture of what to expect.
Lusty…..what about the Happy Birthday Fucker t shirt….I wanna see it!!!!
Mike Patton took off his shoe, smelled it and threw it into the crowd. Lucky fan who got it haha! Can we expect flying shoes at The Warfield? Maybe I’ll wear a helmet – also protects against a Patton stage dive.
Yeah, it was a 90 min show but my friend said
the energy was incredibly high and that the band was incredibly humble like always. She’s sent me a whole photo album – most are pictures of his ass lol.
Cheers
Lusty
I was in auckland, had a great time, they were tight and out everything into their set. Of course I wish they played forever…. but I have no complaints and only good memories ..
Hope the Aussie shows get Dont dream its over as well!!!!
What’s with the short set????? WTF????? That better not happen at any of the WARFIELD shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want the worm to turn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
