I got to the 2nd show, I traveled all the way from Costa Rica (if you were at the show I was the guy with the flag that spoke with Patton), I can only say it was Unfreakin’ believable, FNM is one of my fave bands in the world with PANTERA, now my dream was fulfilled to see FNM finally and hopefully not for the last time, any pics or comments tell me about them or send them to me at [email protected], here’s a cool pic of me that someone took (http://www.flickr.com/photos/hlk/4530127849/)…haha!!! FNM forever! I enjoyed the whole set but I wish I’d caught them perform CAFFEINE!
Cheers from Costa Rica

FNM RULES!!!
I’ve been surprised so far! WTD’s were unexpected to say the least.
I was unaware that they where gonna play at the warfield. So I heard the tickets where sold out and was bummed. But then they added the second show and I was there man. Sadly, when they added the 3rd show, I was broke. At least I got to see them and words cannot describe how amazing it was. Songs I really wanted to hear where everything’s ruined and jizzlobber. I don’t think malpractice and jizzlobber are songs they do often though. The perfect crime as good as it is, is definitely not a song they’ve really done. It was still great and they better come back next year. Now if only Mr. Bungle could come back.
You know, I think that footage of Jon’s birthday celebration is literally the first time I’ve ever heard the man speak.
And fingers crossed for them breaking out some random stuff for the final show tonight.
The show last night was truly an epic moment in my life (no pun intended). I have been a huge fan for years and I was completely blown away by the performance.
My only complaint was the lack of energy from the crowd in the upper levels. I feel sorry for the people with their butts glued to the seats who were unfortunate enough to be sitting behind me, because I was on my feet the whole time. I often wondered if most of the concert goers had been expecting to see a Josh Groban show.
Hope everyone enjoys the final show as much as I enjoyed last night!

Thanks for your reviews and for the pics, they’ve been great…. The “happy birthday…” shirt is great, but I don’t know if I’d wear it in public 🙂

Fun time last night! Great vibe down on the floor…EVERYONE was lovin it. Don’t know if it’s me and the kinda shows I’ve been going to lately but there seemed to be a LOT of folks that were wasted drunk (I was on the aisle and watched many of them get kicked off the pit floor for being out of control). Great job by the Warfield staff tho.
Looking forward to what surprises are in store for us tonight! Woohoo!!!
Here’s some video I shot of “Ben”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8lAoDf4dbQ
people in the balcony, GET THE FUCK UP!!!!!!!!!!!
while it sounded fantastic up there, I am so happy I will not be surrounded by a bunch of old pathetic middle aged men tonight and I will be on the floor. I could NOT believe everyone sat and people actually yelled at me to sit down. for the record, I’m in my 30’s, from out of town, my feet hurt from walking all day, I’m tired, blah blah blah blah, fuck you.
GET
THE
FUCK
UP!!!!!!!!
AMAZING SHOW!!!!!!!!! GREATEST BAND ALIVE.

I was in the upper loge last night. It was pretty mellow.
If anyone wants to trade upper loge for gen admission (2 of them) let me know.
“Patton was asking ppl where they were going to eat after the concert and interacting with the crowd as usual.”
I heard that Patton was making fun of the Monday night crowd for being all out of town. “We tried to do a show for the locals and all you tourists showed up.” kind of bit, so when he asked where was some good food to eat around there I shouted out the virtues of Tu Lan, which is right around the corner and Patton made eye contact with me and was all, “Tu Lan, that’s an excellent suggestion, but they’re CLOSED RIGHT NOW!”
I didn’t realize it was a trick question…
you’re welcome, thank you for the blog! seriously. Expect more tweets tonight. I might chill in the back for a change, so expect even more tweets.
Josh, nice seeing you here! Tonight we’ll be there for sure!
Also, I have one balcony ticket.. selling it for regular price.
Cheers for the great review and all those Tweets. Got to hear a shout out for Andy too.
Upper loge should be decent. You will be toward the front of the balcony, I think rows 5 to 8.
Thanks Ti Mort, I didn’t want him to be kept outside after his smoke break!
I hope the balcony seats are more lively tonight. Could you see the stage well at least? We’re not lower loge, we’re the next group up, and we have front row in that section. Based on the seating chart they look like good seats!
seanL…you can go outside and smoke…I don’t know about tonight but the crowd in the balcony was laim…everybody was sitting down…except for us and a small handful….fucking zombies…the floor was rocking!!!!!
tbrandao – I’m the longhair who took those pics, and I will see you there again tonight I hope!
SeanL – Yes, you can go out into a corral in front of the venue to smoke, but you must have a ticket and a handstamp/wristband. Also, Upper Loge is a fine view, you should have a great time!
They usually have re-entry for smokers at the Warfield.
Hey guys, are any of you smokers? My friend who is going with me is, and I wanted to know if there is a smoking area there. If there’s not, what does one do? Is there reentry, so he can go outside and come back?
I’m gonna be there tonight! I don’t have general admission, but “Upper Loge” seats. Can anyone tell me how those seats are?
Tuesday’s show was different. The band seemed much more relaxed in contrast to Monday. The set list was harder; Monday’s setlist sounded like a hits parade (not a bad thing at all, but distinct). By my count, there were ten songs in common between the two (counting CoF/Stripsearch as one tune).
I still really hope to hear Billy do the bass solo for “Kindergarten”, if I get to hear that I think I’ll be complete. “Crack Hitler” would be nice too!
Greetings to Tiago and Trey, both up here from Brazil for the shows. Sorry the Monday show was a “surprise!” Trey 😉
Greetings as well to Michael from Colorado, Matt, Chris from Fallon AFB (tell your CO it was worth it!), Tony from Loyola High School (came to see his old classmates!), Yvonne from New York (who spent her rent money for this) and last but not least my companions for the night Danny, Eli and Jessica.
Thank you to Faith No More for doing this, it’s been a celebration unlike any I’ve ever had.

I got some pretty good shots of Roddy and Billy in action. CC Share Alike, feel free to use ’em!
Great review! Can’t wait for tonight! It’s been way too long and it might be the last.
Can anyone tell me what time the show ended last night? I want to know if I can make the midnight Caltrain home tonight or if I should drive…
My review:
Another awesome night. Got in early.. was debated on whether I should get the poster or not, but they weren’t ready (as in the band hadn’t signed them) yet. That decided for me.. Switched sides last night and stood in between Roddy and Billy. Met some really cool people last night. Forgot most of their names, but the guy with long hair who took pictures of my interview and of course, Andy and Heather from Caca Volante. I grew up reading this guy’s posts!
So the opening acts were by far better than Monday’s. Jello Biafra was great, and I am not a fan. Billy stood backstage and photographed the whole concert, while singing the songs as well. The tap dancers. HA HA HA Best idea ever. Really hard to describe it and I feel really strange saying that it was GREAT! Some very interesting (?) characters and the whole FNM by the side of the stage laughing their asses off. I could see MP looking at the crowd and saying “they actually like it!” and cracking himself up. So funny.
Neil Hamburger came back and cracked at least 10 Red Hot Chili Peppers jokes – all about their drug addiction. Whatever.. I’m not a fan of either, so let’s move on to FNM.
As you all know by now, the set was very different. They included most of the songs they have been playing on the tour, that weren’t a part of Monday’s concert (I think the exceptions were As he Worm Turns, Mark Bowen, Edge of the World and the one time only played Zombie Eaters, Falling to Pieces and Ugly in the Morning). I might be wrong,. tho. Actually, what is the problem with Zombie Eaters??? I fucking love that song and the one time they played it last year it sounded great…!
MP and Puffy still talk shit to each other all night. Roddy is the best, making eye contact with us all night long. Billy was smiling too. You can see he really is into this comeback thing. Patton was asking ppl where they were going to eat after the concert and interacting with the crowd as usual. During This Town Ain’t Big Enough… he came to Roddy and said “come on, give me a little help here”, but in a good way, in reference to vocals.
The M Jackson song was fantastic. Again, the videos on Youtube don’t show you all. Incredible vocals, insane voice… almost Bee Gee’s style, haha. Jon’s birthday! That was cool! They said they had many surprises for the night, including for one of their band members, as Puffy brings him a bday cake, with candles and all that jazz. Obviously, the cake ended up on Jon’s face. Patton loves it and says “speech! speech!” Jon takes the mic and turns out he is hilarious. He said:
“I am not mad for the cake on my face, in fact this is great because last year I did that by myself in a hotel room” and “so weird that we haven’t played here in 13 years and you guys decided to show up randomly today for my birthday party”. Fun!
As for the DVD… there was a guy from the band crew interviewing and filming people outside. Many of us from this blog gave out interviews. He told me it was “for the band”. I asked about a DVD and he couldn’t confirm. I tried counting the cameras last night and could not count 13. I saw a few, but not that many… There were microphones in front of the stage, pointing to the crowd, capturing the energy of the audience…
As for the songs.. the sound quality was better last night. Not sure why I enjoyed Monday’s concert better overall. Ashes and Midlife are still my favorite live songs. The opening with Midnight and Real Thing was superb! Ricochet killed it and Pristina makes so much more sense when played live…. and the end of the show is how I will end my review: MP with lots of echo fro his mic saying the last words of Pristina: “I’m watching you”. Looking at front row’s people’s faces, then without the mic saying “thank you, really, thank YOU”, pointing to the crowd and to his chest. Chills! The ironic, sarcastic and out of his fucking mind Mike Patton was honestly touched by the fans.
I will post pictures today and link them here. Who will be at tonight’s concert? See you there!
Hey, here’s the b’day cake, banter and Ben. (Horrid horrid sound for Ben, but the banter comes out OK.)

Cheers, Kat
I’m so pumped right now. I’m getting ready to drive up to San Fran to see FNM for my very first time. They’ve been my favorite band since i was 11, and finally get to see them!! I love that set list. I’m hoping for Everything’s Ruined and a Perfect Crime.
The first show (12th) was better but I’m still looking for my testicles after being rocked so hard for a second time lastnight. New album! New album! New album!
sounds like it was a great show…Ill see u all tomorrow..for the final show…wait its tonight!!! can’t wait…
