Faith No More played their last scheduled date of the Second Coming tour last night in Finland. They certainly finished on a high with the show played in a party mood.
Roddy’s verdict:
yes, it’s true… 20,000 drunk finns can’t be wrong. FNM rule. and thank you. what a fucking glorious country.
And here’s Mike Patton after the gig with ace commenter, blogger etc Lusty.

@Mark,
Hope you enjoyed SF. I was at two of those shows. Sound could have been better but the performances were unbelievable.
Lusty you lucky girl 🙂 I’ve only managed to touch Patton once at Forestglade.
they didn’t play WAR PIGS
I never thought to see FNM alive but hey, I never thought to see their last gig! Another dream came true. Once more, thanks to the band and especially to Patton; the voice of everything! Amazing, so fucking amazing!
If this is the end then obviously I (Like anyone on here) will be gutted, still clinging onto the shred of hope that puffy didn’t leave ozzy for nothing and that mike just wants the rest of 2010 to promote mondo cane (which I wouldn’t have listened to had it not been for fnm, but is actually a really good album!). If it is the end then thanks for the memories, I got to go to five shows, three countries, two continents! This band has changed the way I look at music and set the bar so high it’s unreal. Will never forget the first show, going from the subtlety of Midnight Cowboy to the choas of from out of nowhere, I went skydiving and it doesn’t compare to the energy rush I got from that show!
I should also thank them for ruining any further band reunions. Reunions are supposed to be all about greed, hating each other (the verve) or one member claiming the band is theirs (guns &roses, smashing pumpkins spring to mind). Faith no more instead gave us different banter at every show, singing happy birthday to john and then dumping the cake, pulling up fans to sing with them, constantly mocking themselves for being a bit older with every band member enjoying themselves. Hell, they even gave chuck his moment in the sun which I felt was very cool.
Best band on the planet, bar none.
………………………
couldnt have said it better myself. Pure Class. 🙂
wanderlust.. you fricken rule! I am so happy for you!!
One song missing from the list, Surprise! You’re Dead! and I’m not sure did it come after or before Evidence.
Hell of a show, best ever! 20,000 drunken finns cannot be wrong!
Is this it? If so thank you so much for all the memories.
“As far as the music goes, king for a day is just unbeatable.”
Agree!
petro: I saw them In edinburgh (Scotland), then a couple of days later at leeds festival (England), then all three shows at the warfield! Travelled from the uk, probably took patton’s “we arn’t starbucks so catch us whilst you can” comment far too literally lol. I would’ve loved to have gone to either bilbao or optimus but alas, some major family problems occured and it just wasn’t possible.
Nick: Speaking from the heart here, even if zep reformed it wouldn’t be the same, this was just a band who got back together and had some fun rather than being about marketing, or exclusive interviews or all the other stuff which is irrelevant to the music.
As far as the music goes, king for a day is just unbeatable.
Wholeheartedly agree with that, Nick. I’m ruined for live shows, too. Nothing can compete with Faith No More.
Brilliant!
@ Mark
excellent post dude. I will never forget the 2 nights I seen them in Brooklyn. They ruined every concert for me! Nothing will ever come close
“fernetpunker – that’s EXACTLY what I meant.
I’ll be blogging about my experience but it was all happiness and smiles backstage. So even if it is the end, everyone’s happy about it. 🙂
Best band ever. Inside and out.
@ mark,
just curious, which shows did you get to go to, and where did you travel from?

Sounds great admin! I have no experience with these things but I’ll be more than happy to help in any way I can.
Cheers. Am looking into a forum option.
Chile in december….bet it
Very haunting to let it all end with The Real Thing. I think that´s what Lusty meant with saying “Wow that was intense”.
I still think they’ll will write something and come back nex t summer for festival dates. Why wouldn’t they?
In the meantime, Patton needs to join his buddy Henry Rollins in the gym.
Ha.
Sad day. What an amazing year and a half! I’ll never forget stumbling on to this site the nite of their first show at Brixton. I was reading all the updates and never forget someone ( admin?) tweeting they played Jizzlobber and malpractice! I was in heaven that night and from that day on this site was a daily stop and I know I speak for everyone wen I say thanks. Thanks to FNM and thanks especially to FNM 2.0. Now that it’s prob gonna be dead for however long I think it’s a great time to get a forum going on this site. I’ve met some great fans here and I know we can have endless discussions about FNM and share some bootlegs and watnot.
My mistake in copying and pasting. Was meant to be The Real Thing.
TRL?
Awesome picture! Looks like Finland was a great time.
Its over baby…thank you for Brooklyn on the 5th…the ride has been a blast. Like many here I followed this every step of the way. thanks FNM 2.0.
Miss Lusty, you are a queen and a Patton scholar. Simply put…you rule.
