Faith No More don silly costumes and put on even sillier accents for this MTV Europe competition from 1995.
(Thanks to Giannis Pap for sharing this on the FNM Facebook page)
As a bonus, here is FNM at the aforementioned Rock Am Ring festival from 4 June 1995. (No word of who won the contest and got to be introduced by the band on stage)
I’m pretty sure I got that boot from the Caca Volante FTP site. (Years ago) If that’s still up and running, you can get a lot of good bootleg FNM shows there.
I would upload it to dimeadozen, but I don’t know how to convert it from MP3 to FLAC. Nor do I know how to create a torrent. I’m a bit behind the times.
I have a good feeling that anyone who plans to go to the San Francisico Golden Gate Park Mondo Cane performances that they will be in for a special treat, considering it IS where Mike lives. I now know several people who live in LA who plan to go up to SF for all three dates. Lucky bitches.
Just A Fan – Just listened to the track…..awesome!!!! Once again thank you so much…been looking for this for a while…….ARIBA!!!!!!
JUST A FAN THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU…..so sorry for being late on the thank you’s….been a while since I checked out the site believe it or not!!!!!
Just a Fan! I just read your post now… I was busy being distracted by Bolger’s…
God I hope that’s true; my family is in Chicago and I may be there over the holidays. If that happens I will DEFINITELY go! I still have a healthy dose of skepticism – the only thing I half believe is a possible show in Chile later this year…
But I really don’t think it’s over yet!
(p.s. kicked out for crowd surfing?! That sucks….)
So Bolger, whats it gonna be: MC or Love Fest? Haha… just kidding buddy!
Hi guys. Not being deliberately obtuse but sworn to secrecy on this; hopefully the wait won’t be much longer.
Admin, I second Ti Mort’s question…any idea when the fan questions will be answered?
I was pushing for a free party in the Stern Groove concert series but Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is also a perfect match that completely slipped my mind.
Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is a gigantic, almost too big, free 3-day party in GGP put on by this eccentric kid dot.com billionaire type. Apparently it’s a who’s who of all the biggest established and up and coming bluegrass acts, as well as just random musicians from all over the map. MC Hammer even opened up the festival a few years ago.
It’s also the same weekend as Love Fest, which is the largest free (The $10 cover charge that they started last year is basically just an anti homeless person tax. You can’t even call that a ticket price, really. Ticketmaster would call that a service charge fee) outdoor rave on the west coast, maybe even America. So you have 100,000 kids raving out downtown, then on the other side of the city 40,000 people getting their Grateful Dead on in the park. Another one of those weird dichotomies that is proof that San Francisco really is the best city ever.
I might bring my mom with, too! We both love bluegrass 🙂
No kidding….!!!??
Did you have something to do with that, Bolger? Put a bug in their ear about Mondo Cane?
That is AWESOME 🙂 I will probably get plane tix and go to this.
(hopefully you’re not kidding)
Looks like Mondo Cane is doing a free show in Golden Gate Park in October.

That’s the same weekend as Love Fest + The Castro St. Fair so SF is gonna be nuts.
@Tim
Here ya go: http://www.mediafire.com/?lm4fw6yryulcxro
Here’s an earlier post on that gives a bit of info about it:

I haven’t been able to find the Italian or Portuguese versions but if you are missing anything else from your FNM b-sides/rarities collection, chances are I have it (I noticed that you threw up some songs for some folks a handful of posts ago). Just shoot me an email: [email protected]
God it’s gotten quiet around here, huh? I hate perpetuating shit that is most likely just idle chit-chat/ramblings that mean nothing but since there’s nothing else going on here…>>>>
At the third Warfield show I ran into a few fellow Chicagoans and they told me this: After the previous night’s show they met Puffy outside and and he told them that FNM wanted to put together a New Year Eve’s show at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago (which is right by my apartment and an excellent venue…I saw ’em there back in 1992…well for a few songs anyway: I got kicked out for crowd surfing and had to listen to the rest of the insanity from outside…GODDAMMIT). I’m sure it was something they were half-ass “in-the-moment” considering since they were doing US shows but neglecting the Midwest but it’s at least a fun little nugget to keep in the back of the brain.
Hopefully Billy’s news won’t simply be the announcement of a Chilean show but after that whole “special song” thing, I’m not getting my hopes up. I guess we’ll find out more once this Q&A materializes.
should say “of” not “on”…..
Does anyone have a studio recording on evidence being sung in Spanish. I thought they had released that version at one point during the KFAD era. Anyway just thought I’d put that out there……Admin, any word on that FNM interview answering fan questions?
@Barry – seconded on the uploading the bootleg if you can!
You know, for what a foodie Patton is I’m surprised he’s not K-Fed size these days.
@Barry Mahoganue, is there any chance you can upload the bootleg or send it to me? This is so damn awesome. King for a Day is my favorite era of FNM.
That version of caffeine is great. Man, Patton’s beefier compared to the old days.
Firsa – I was gonna say Bill sounds almost Australian lol.
Hilarious.
Love that pregnant moment towards the end of Caffeine.
I have a bootleg of that show. The contest winners got to come on stage and dance around during Let’s Lynch the Landlord in the first encore.
Haha, I love Bill’s snobby British accent at 0:40 🙂
MP always seemed so unhappy onstage during the last two album tours.
That’s why the reunion is so much more a fitting end for the band.
such joy!
