Hi folks, sorry about the lack of updates. Been a busy time.
- Really like this oh so mellow and oh so Scandinavian cover version of From Out of Nowhere from Nobody Told Me:
- Mike rocking the hipster oversized glasses look from about 1990
- What people still think about Faith No More and nu-metal? From a football/soccer forum. Worth a look just for this riposte: “Blaming Faith No More for nu-metal is like blaming the Velvet Underground for dull indie.”
- I’d forgotten about this:
@Alksyntrs Just before FNM broke up they guested on two songs for the Sparks album ‘Plagiarism’ (an album of re-recorded/arranged Sparks songs, which also – possibly coincidentally – featured Dean Menta on another track). One of them was “This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both of Us” which was released as a 2CD single set as well. Technically this was the last single Faith No More released before the split.
Thx for the cover version of From Out of Nowhere. Very fine.

What is that Sparks-FNM song?
The forum link was fun 🙂
“fat corn-fed Amercans from the Midwest with moustache-less goatees and backwards baseball caps which infest the air in Middle America and have such negative influence on the fashions of the country” made me smile.
However, after reading on I flinched a little. If I see the letters RHCP and FNM just one more time in the same sentence (not including this one), I will barf on my keyboard. There is NO comparison, kiddies!
…and I’m a bit intrigued by that Sparks video, but haven’t clicked on it yet.
That cover was soft, sweet and bizarre. I enjoyed it!
