Recent round-up
Faith No More Followers have picked up the slack in my recent fallow period – and here is their most recent round-up.
Dan Boyle on tour with FNM
The mainstream media has caught up with the FNM blogosphere on Dan Boyle’s summer tour with Faith No More.
Here’s the New York Post take.
“As silly as it sounds, it was an amazing experience,” says Boyle of his gig, which took him to DC, Philly, Boston and NYC. “[Being a roadie is] a thankless job, but an important job. It’s not that different from what [the Rangers’] trainers do for us!” Duties included toting instruments, setting up the stage, and dispensing VIP tickets.”
Todd…I agree about the lyrics, but would also add that while they are being optimistic, they are eating their feelings.
Interesting…what could be happening tomorrow??
Good point, it’s probably SSU, the single. I hope we get at least one B side with it! Several reviewers seemed to think the song is a tribute to breakfast, but to me it’s about being optimistic when life is in the doldrums, the pits.
This is great. Really like hearing Billy, he’s a solid interview.
Hey guys. Todd – I was thinking that at first…a show…some weird morning gig….but, Eric I am starting to think it is the single for Sunny Side Up…which they did say awhile back would be their 3rd single. I really hope they add a bside to this single….that would be incredible….
@Ti Mort. Perhaps “sunny side up” maxi single with 5 new tracks? A fella can dream…
Ti, yes, something must be coming up on Oct. 20th. Probably a show to prepare for their performance in Sacramento.
Did anyone else see FNM’s new post about “breakfast being served”, October 20th. Are they playing a show in the morning at some dive….if so, they truly are the most amazing band ever….
This is a great interview will Billy. He reveals a lot, like how Mike Patton was the first guy who tried out for the band after Chuck was fired, but they still tried out at least 10 other singers. How Patton was a college kid who had no idea what he was getting into. I’m always amazed by that meeting of Patton and Jim Martin where he hands him a Bungle demo and then his fate completely changes.
Admin, take all the time you need or want to raise FNM fans or other business, I’ll still check your page everyday as it is my favorite FNM devoted site. Thanks for the updates!
